POSITION:                 RMX Drivers

REPORTING TO:       Operations Manager

LOCATION:               Norwich, Cambridge, Bury St. Edmunds


JOB PURPOSE:         To drive a Readymix truck, delivering to a variety of sites and customers whilst adhering to Company Policies and Procedures.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Readymix concrete to various locations
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and keep the truck in an acceptable and clean condition
  • Work in accordance with safe practices and legislation with regards to Driver Hours and the Working Time Directive
  • Complete required documentation with good attention to detail
  • Assist Plant Supervisor as required at other times

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Enthusiastic, reliable and customer focussed
  • Punctual with good communication skills and able to build and retain positive internal and external relationships
  • Hold a full HGV Licence with Driver Qualification Card and Driver CPC
  • Good geographical knowledge would be beneficial
  • Flexible in your approach and willing to learn all aspects of the business to carry out various duties

 


POSITION:                Senior Finance Assistant/Team Leader

REPORTING TO:      Financial Controller

LOCATION:               Stowmarket

SALARY:                    Competitive


JOB PURPOSE:         A key wide-ranging role working closely with the business and providing support within a small finance team. To ensure that financial accounting records, procedures and reports are maintained to a high standard to satisfy both statutory and business requirements.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily Bank reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
  • Updating cash flow model daily
  • Preparation of management information as required by the business
  • Provide training and support to the team
  • Assisting Financial Controller in preparing monthly reports
  • Other Ad-hoc work/projects as required

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Friendly and approachable, a team player who will go the extra mile
  • Communicates well, and able to develop relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Has worked in a busy accounts team, with proven experience of all the main activities
  • Capable of planning their work to achieve strict deadlines
  • Highly numerate, analytical and accurate
  • A problem solver with an eye for detail
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and procedures
  • IT literate especially in Accounting Software & Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Quickbooks would be desirable
  • AAT level 4 desirable but not essential
  • Experience in supervising a Team

POSITION:                 Sales & Distribution Co-ordinator

REPORTING TO:       Commercial Manager, RMX

LOCATION:                Stowmarket


JOB PURPOSE:           You will co-ordinate ready-mixed concrete deliveries in a busy market and be involved in taking customer orders and organising the day-to-day distribution of deliveries and scheduling, liaising with customers at all stages to ensure customer satisfaction

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Taking customer orders by phone
  • Timely and accurate input of all customer concrete orders
  • Respond to all customer enquiries and complaints
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders
  • Action smaller orders and refer all other enquiries to the Commercial Manager
  • Read and respond to all other emails
  • Provide quotations and sales reports
  • Provide specific support to the pre-planning of major contracts or schemes in terms of production and transport capacity planning
  • Actively seek to build new and existing customer relationships
  • Liaise with the Batchers on a daily basis to inform them of their work schedules
  • To conduct the daily ticket review to confirm pricing for both cash customers and account customers and to ensure pricing is in line with quotations.
  • Update daily spreadsheets for all batching plants to confirm output
  • Cost effective despatch planning/shipping of all customer orders through active liaison with commercial, operations and transport teams
  • Conduct month end stocktakes
  • Liaise with the Transport & Maintenance Manager in relation to truck repairs and maintenance schedules

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

A sales focused individual who has the passion and drive to proactively develop our customer base whilst delivering exceptional customer service. You will require experience in sales and be able to thrive in a busy environment and have excellent IT and communication skills.  A good understanding of sales and distribution would be advantageous and you will need to be able to work on your own initiative.   You will be an excellent communicator and proactive self-starter who can build effective relationships both with colleagues and customers.

 


POSITION:                 Volumetric Batcher Driver

REPORTING TO:       Commercial Manager, Volumetric

LOCATION:                Wymondham, Norfolk


JOB PURPOSE:  To deliver quality approved site-mixed concrete and related products in a timely and cost-effective manner, displaying the highest standards of customer service and self-management.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of site mixed concrete to various locations
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and keep the truck in an acceptable and clean condition
  • Work in accordance with safe practices and legislation with regards to Driver Hours and the Working Time Directive
  • Complete required documentation with good attention to detail
  • Batching of quality approved concrete
  • Utilise best route to achieve delivery targets in the most economical way
  • Truck maintenance
  • Loading Shovel driving duties

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Enthusiastic, reliable and customer focussed
  • Punctual with good communication skills and able to build and retain positive internal and external relationships
  • A good level of mathematical aptitude
  • Health and Safety Awareness
  • Hold a full HGV Licence with Driver Qualification Card and Driver CPC
  • Good geographical knowledge would be beneficial
  • Flexible in your approach and willing to learn all aspects of the business to carry out various duties
